You can’t expect a spider to knit you a sweater.
Here’s why I think that AI will not be as good as people anytime soon…

It’s because we have generative intelligence so we can transfer insights and skills from one situation to a completely different scenario
and context. While for most AI tools, they have very specific skills, they’re fantastic at this one thing in a specific context.

But don’t ask them to do something else.

It’s a bit like with many animals; a spider can knit a terrific spider web, but you cannot expect it to transfer those skills and knit you a sweater.

And that’s the same thing with AI. It’s just not able to transfer to other contexts the way we humans do.

Yet.
