Too Much Of A Good Thing Can Be A Problem
Too much of a good thing can be a problem…
and that is how we should be viewing stress.
Stress, in small, controlled, and anticipated amounts, can be very beneficial for our brains! It helps us with learning, productivity, and feeling fulfilled with what we are doing.
However, too much stress can do exactly the opposite. In fact, it doesn’t even need to be necessarily “too much” stress, even a small quantity of unexpected uncontrolled stress can be detrimental to us.
Here’s a throwback to an interview I had with ARTE 17. I was given the opportunity to dissect all things stress and stress management and give an answer to the question: Do we need more stress?
